NW Herald on McCare Night

WOODSTOCK – Four local McDonald’s restaurants, in Marengo, Algonquin, Fox River Grove and Huntley, will conduct a “McCare Night” for Turning Point on Aug. 4.
Fifteen percent of all proceeds at the restaurants between 5 and 8 p.m. will be donated to Turning Point, a domestic violence agency and shelter with a mission to confront violence against women and children in McHenry County. No coupon or flier is necessary; all purchases made during those hours will generate donations to the charity. This event is part of “Take a Stand for Turning Point” a 36-hour radio-thon annually presented by Star 105.5 to raise funds and awareness for the local domestic violence agency and shelter.
McDonald’s is a major sponsor of the event, and the local restaurants involved will present the proceeds from this McCare night at the broadcast, which this year will take place from 6 a.m. Aug. 6 to 6 p.m. Aug. 7 at Algonquin Commons.
The participating restaurants are at 200 W. Grant Highway, Marengo; 125 S. Randall Road, Algonquin; 10711 Route 47, Huntley; and 840 Northwest Highway, Fox River Grove. For information on the McCare night, call Turning Point at 815-338-8081.
