Event to benefit Turning Point
Star 105.5 again will broadcast a 36-hour radiothon, “Take A Stand for Turning Point,” to benefit Turning Point, a domestic violence agency with a mission to confront violence against women and children in McHenry County.
This year, the station will broadcast from 6 a.m. Aug. 6 until 6 p.m. Aug. 7 at Algonquin Commons on Randall Road. Donations can be made to Turning Point during the radiothon by calling the Fone Zone donation hot lines – 847-477-6167 or 847-477-6687 – or by visiting Algonquin Commons and making their donation in person. Donations also can be made online by visiting the Turning Point website at www.mchenrycountyturningpoint.org at any time.
