Women's Programs

Free Service

Emergency Shelter: A safe environment for a woman and her children fleeing a violent situation.

Support Groups: A supportive environment for women who have been or are currently victims of domestic violence.

Individual Counseling: Emotional support through the decision-making process.

Bilingual/Bicultural Services: Cooperative programming for Latino women and their children who are or were victims of domestic violence.

Non-legal Advocacy: Crisis Intervention and referrals with social service providers.

Law Enforcement Advocacy Program (L.E.A.P.): Provides on-scene crisis intervention that includes law enforcement and trained advocates.

Legal Advocacy: Information and assistance regarding domestic violence victim's rights.

Children's Programs

Free Service

Children's individual counseling and support groups are outlets to examine and better understand feelings and to better equip them to make positive choices.

Support Groups (ages 6-11): A safe environment for children who witness or witnessed verbal, emotional or physical abuse in their homes. Content includes cooperative play and non-violent conflict resolution.

Individual Counseling: Assessment and counseling for children in a safe and nurturing environment.

Non-legal Advocacy: Intervention, referral, and linkage on behalf of children with schools and social service providers.

Violence Prevention Education: Presentations to groups, schools or organizations about bullying, safety, communication skills, anger management, and conflict resolution.

Trauma-Based Mental Health Services

Fees charged on sliding-scale

Individual Therapy: Individual mental health assessment and therapy for adult individuals who survived the trauma of past domestic violence and/or sexual abuse.

Trauma Recovery and Empowerment Support Group (TREM): Structured group with weekly topics for women who acknowledge a history of abuse.

Partner Abuse Intervention Program (PAIP)

Fees and Evaluations required

Serves men and women who have been abusive in relationships. Groups are educational, and run for 24 weeks. Emphasis is on changing beliefs that lead to violence, using tools to reduce impulsivity, and developing accountability for choices that lead to violence. Men and women's groups are separate. Fees are established at the time of intake, and are based on whether or not the individual is court-mandated or voluntary and on household income.

Men's Partner Abuse Intervention Program (PAIP): Individual assessment and group counseling/education for men who are or were emotionally or physically abusive in their intimate relationships.

Adolescent Partner Abuse Intervention Program (PAIP): Individual assessment and group counseling/education for adolescents ages 13 through 17 who have witnessed/been victims of abuse or who exhibit abusive behaviors.

Women' Partner Abuse Intervention Program (PAIP): Individual assessment and group counseling/education for women who are or were emotionally or physically abusive in their intimate relationships.

Parents' Partner Abuse Intervention Program (PAIP): Group support and education on appropriate parenting skills for men and women who were violent or are afraid of becoming violent with their children.

Latino Partner Abuse Intervention Program (PAIP): Individual assessment and group counseling/education for men who are or were emotionally or physically abusive in their intimate relationships.

Latino Parenting Partner Abuse Intervention Program (PAIP): Bilingual/Bicultural group support and education on appropriate parenting skills for men and women.
